COMME des GARÇONS, or CDG, which translates to “like boys” in French, is a Japanese fashion label founded in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo. Renowned for its avant garde aesthetic and unconventional silhouettes, the brand quickly became a success in Japan in the 1970s. In 2002, PLAY was added to CDG's wide array of diffusion and partner labels as a line of beautiful wardrobe basics. The instantly recognizable heart-shaped logo can be found throughout this line on pieces such as their t-shirts, knits, and most famously their highly coveted ongoing collaboration with Converse.
