Comme des Garçons
Comme des Garçons, which translates to “like the boys” in French, is a Japanese fashion label founded in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo. Known colloquially as CDG, and renowned for its avant-garde aesthetic and unconventional silhouettes, the brand quickly became a success in Japan in the 1970s. The brand has since expanded to include a multitude of diffusion and accessories lines, including the iconic PLAY imprint, providing a street level entry into the vast CDG world.
