Bloomfield.Works put together a playlist for us to coincide with their latest collection, inspired by the grand aesthetic of Afrofuturism. Just as Afrofuturism focuses on reclaiming the cultural history of the past, while simultaneously claiming the history of the future, their playlist - and our subsequent August Aux mix - highlights the past and present of Black music culture. The collection balances hits from Hip Hop greats such as Nas and N.E.R.D with jazz classics by King Tubby, hitting all the right notes in between.
