August is a curated retail concept and community hub based in Madison, Wisconsin. Grounded in intentional design, culture, and high-quality apparel, we aim to provide an elevated store experience that seamlessly connects our community with the world's most sought-after brands and timeless aesthetic work.
We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Graphic Designer (Entry-Level to Junior) to join our creative team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will work across a wide spectrum of visual touchpoints; including apparel graphics, marketing flyers, seasonal sale campaigns, promotional assets, and web/digital media. You will collaborate directly with our creative team to execute elevated, timeless visuals that reflect and strengthen August's brand identity
Creative & Design Execution
Deliver clean, brand-aligned visual assets across print and digital platforms (web banners, marketing emails, flyers, and social collateral).
Assist in designing apparel graphics, typography, tech packs, and garment mockups for seasonal collections and brand releases.
Produce promotional materials for store activations, community events, and seasonal sales.
Maintain and elevate August’s visual standards across all customer touchpoints.
Prepare production-ready files and design specifications for print partners and manufacturers.
Workflow & Collaboration
Work closely with creative and e-commerce leads to manage timelines and deliver design assets on schedule.
Participate in visual concept development, mood boarding, and creative brainstorms.
Maintain organized digital asset libraries and project files.
0–2 years of professional design experience or relevant internships (Entry-Level to Junior candidates are encouraged to apply).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Familiarity with Figma or web layout tools is a plus.
Demonstrated background or interest in apparel design, print flyers, retail marketing, and web assets.
Strong foundational knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and visual composition.
A strong portfolio displaying a mix of digital, print, and graphic concepts.
Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to take constructive creative feedback.
Ability to work on site or hybrid in/around Madison, WI preferred.
